The first time I watched it, it made me laugh but the more I watched it, the sadder it made me feel. My moods were off the charts when I was in perimenopause. I would rage one minute, cry the next, and then be happy the minute after that. I was so emotional and weepy. I didn’t know what came over me. The smallest things set me off and the guilt was awful. I did a lot of apologizing! Mental health represents 50% of the top 10 most common symptoms of perimenopausal menopause. They are absolutely real!! Many of us don’t realize that our moods are even tied to perimenopause or menopause. That’s why I’m so passionate about creating awareness for this stage of life. Causes for mood swings include: Hormonal changes, blood sugar issues, worsened PMS, stress and less ability to cope with stress, lack of sleep, life (such as taking care of aging parents, kids, work, etc.), health issues and not feeling well.
