TARGHEE SHEEP’S WOOL
Targhee sheep were developed in Idaho. They’re a cross between Rambouillet, Corriedale and Lincoln Sheep. They’re named after the Targhee National Forest where they were developed.
Targhee wool is classified as a fine wool. It drafts nicely, takes color well and has a matte finish. It rivals merino in softness, but with a silkier feel. It’s lovely for many things, but especially for wool that will have skin contact.
