Flax or is considered by many to be the oldest fibre used in the Western world, with linen fabrics having been found dating back to 10,000BCE. When spun, it produces a very strong yarn and makes for fabric that lasts. Linen fabric becomes softer with wear and is a great choice for warm weather. Spin this into a lovely yarn or use in a felting project. Though linen does not felt on its own, it will add a nice sheen to a wet felted or needle felted piece.
